Tips for Washing
You can see our product pages for our cotton jackets. We recommend that you wash cotton clothing in either warm or cold water, not exceeding 105 degrees Fahrenheit. There are several good reasons to do this.
One is that you don’t need to use extremely hot water to clean fabrics. This is only required in cases of extremely heavy soil. Cotton fibers can also be damaged by hot water.
Our cotton hoodies have pre-shrunk fabrics that resist shrinkage and are resistant to damage. The cotton fibers are more damaged by hot water than the cooler it is. They shrink due to heat and become brittle and more susceptible to breaking. It can also affect the garment’s color fastness. Our cotton hoodies should not be washed in hot water.
Drying Tips
Many people use a machine drying device to dry their cotton clothes. However, hot water can also damage cotton fibers. The machine dryer can cause the most shrinkage and damage to cotton clothing.
It is recommended that cotton clothing be air dried in a dry, but not too hot, place with good circulation. They will dry faster and be protected from the stress of machine drying. However, we would like to add one caveat.
Although it may seem common, we do not recommend hanging cotton clothes to dry. This is especially true for heavyweight cotton clothes. These clothes can stretch and lose their shape if they are hung to dry. They are also susceptible to stretching and malformation if the fibers get wet.
Instead of hanging your clothes, hang them flat.
Ironing Tips
Ironing can remove wrinkles but can also cause damage to the cotton fibers. Iron your cotton sweater or any other cotton clothing on a low heat. Do not expose to higher temperatures than 230 degrees Fahrenheit.
High heat (such as from an iron) can cause damage to the fabric and accelerate their destruction. It’s better to avoid wrinkles by not ironing them. This can be avoided by folding your favorite garments properly. You won’t have to iron your favorite cotton travis scott merch sweatshirt if you don’t crumple it up.
What Is Notto Do
Let’s take a look at what you should not do. Your favorite cotton hoodie will last as long as you don’t do wrong.
Hang your cotton hoodies and especially your heavyweight hoodies if you can’t help but.
While it may seem like a good idea, hanging cotton clothes can cause damage to heavyweight cotton clothing. Hanging clothes up can cause them to become too heavy and stretch the fibers.
Hang them up to dry
Drying is the same. The risk of heavyweight cotton garments stretching under their own weight is greater. Also, the fibers become weaker and more flexible when wet which increases the risk. Lay them flat to dry, even though hanging them will speed up drying.
Bleach should not be used
Bleach is a toxic chemical that can cause severe damage to fibers. Bleach can also cause color loss in garments. Our cotton clothing is not colorfast so it is best to avoid bleach. It can cause damage to your clothing. It may be acceptable for some other blends of cotton-polyester, but not for our 100% cotton jackets.
Your cotton hoodie should not be harmed by pests!
Because cotton is a natural fibre, it can be attracted by pests such as silverfish and moths. Your clothing should be folded and stored in a dry, clean place, away from dirt and debris that could attract or harbor pests. To protect your clothing from the dangers posed by vermin, vacuum and clean it regularly.
Do not wipe if you spill liquid on your favorite cotton sweatshirt.
Remember to not wipe any liquid that you spill on your favorite cotton jacket. You are only spreading the liquid onto your cotton clothing and allowing it to absorb into the fibers. You need to work against time to stop anyof your fibers from absorbing it. You can do this by lightly blotting to remove as much liquid from your skin as possible.
Before you wash the zippers, zip them up
Zip up your zip-up hoodie before washing. The fabric of a garment can be damaged by loose zippers.
Do not wash them too often
It’s important that you remember that soil, dirt, and oil can cause damage to cotton clothing. However, clothing that doesn’t require it can be washed. It’s best to not wash your cotton jacket too often. It should only be washed when necessary or when it becomes stained or dirty. This will prolong the fabric’s life.
